Applicants are asked to submit a current Curriculum Vitae and a letter indicating:
- Past work or activity in this area, if any.
- A proposal outlining how their Yad Vashem experience can be used in school in the future.
Please include the names and contact information of at least two referees who have both personal and professional knowledge of the applicant.

Technical information
- An initial screening of applications will take place at the school board level where a decision will be made on those to forward to the Advisory Council of The Riva and Thomas O. Hecht Scholarship Program.
- Receipt of all applications will be acknowledged in writing but only successful candidates will be notified of the Advisory Council's final selection.
- The Selection procedure will be completed by the first week of April of each year.
- The successful candidates must have a valid passport for travel to Israel, any necessary travel documents as well as proof of full overseas medical coverage.
- Successful candidates will be required to agree formally and in writing to the conditions above as well as accept that their names and photographs may be used for publicity purposes. This letter of acceptance must be received by the committee no later than April 25.
