As part of their responsibility to T.H.E. Scholarship Program, scholarship winners agree to add value to the teaching profession in the following manner:
- Attend all seminars and activities in Israel related to the Yad Vashem Seminar for Educators from Abroad.
Upon their return from Israel:
- Create at least one teaching unit or module developed within the context learned at the Yad Vashem experience for implementation in the classroom. The unit/module must be incorporated into the project-based curriculum of the Quebec Ministry of Education, Leisure and Sports. The basis of the unit may be considered for integration into the areas of cultural, language, history, literacy or art-based activities.
- Hold at least one other activity during the course of the school year. This could be a presentation at a conference, a speaking engagement, participation in a panel discussion, development of a contest for children, etc.
- All materials related to the foregoing should be deposited at the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre, the Lester B. Pearson School Board, and/or the English Montreal School Board, for future use as enriching teaching/learning materials available to teachers.
